Chuck's gut is looking great today. It has been distended and hard; today it is soft. He has not be nauseous for two days now. Looks like they will try a trickle feed again ... to slowly wake up his digestive tract.

His breathing is moving right along. He went five hours this morning off the vent. He's taking a brief break, then back off he goes.

He sat in a chair for two hours this morning! I walked into the room, and there sat my BIG, TALL husband. Crazy, joyous sight to see!

Surgery has been scheduled for this Thursday at 4:00. It should last about two hours. Please pray for no complications, for speedy healing, and for fully-functioning lungs.

He's come so far! Just a bit further, and we're home. Which reminds me, we are opting to stay here in Dallas for rehab.
