Chuck is resting comfortably. His surgery went very well. Dr. Young was able to clean and close the pressure sore. She also reinforced the area surrounding the sore; adding a stitch or two here and there to the incision line. Not only was she pleased with this surgery, she was pleased with the healing taking place on his back. "On the flip side," she noted that the wound on Chuck's abdomen is virtually healed. Her comment: "If he can heal like that in the front, he can heal like that in the back." I am very encouraged and praise God for this excellent news.
Tomorrow, we are trying"Take Two" of the assessment with Baylor Specialty hospital. They are sending someone to see if Chuck is ready to move OUT of critical care and into an accute care place.
We praise God for Chuck's wonderful improvements! We ask for prayers for his digestion and wounds.
Keep the faith.
