As quickly as I fretted, God brought peace...in the form of Dr. Brancaccio. He thinks it will be no biggie for Chuck to go home with a portable ventilator. Further, he thinks it is perfectly safe for Chuck to make the trip to San Antonio. It is rare that Chuck needs a vent during the day. It will be used for if the occasion arises.
